The way capitalism shapes the culture is addressed in the series "Gordian Knot." "Gordian Knot" is often used as a metaphor for an intractable problem. By taking advantage of the transparency, mesh-like quality, and softness of chiffon fabric, I am bringing in a new perspective on classic portraiture photography with a material that can resonate with the idea of social fabric.

With this work, I am trying to respond to questions that are always hunting me:
What blinds us from the world and ourselves? What makes us and humanity distorted? What causes us to be in pain, but at the same time being part of our-self?
How does capital influence our current social-political system? What is this system becoming, and what is the American dream we believe in now?
